FAQ

How many homes does it reach, and which streets?

About 5,000 homes per edition. We use USPS Every Door Direct Mail, which delivers to every address on selected carrier routes. We pick routes in each neighborhood (favoring owner-occupied homes) and can tell you which routes and ZIP codes an edition covers before you book.

When does it mail, and what's the deadline?

Editions go out about monthly. Each edition has an art deadline, typically around the 1st of the month, and homes usually receive the card around the 15th to 20th. USPS Marketing Mail delivery dates aren't guaranteed. We'll give you exact dates when you book.

What if the card doesn't fill?

The card prints once the edition is funded. If it isn't funded within 30 days of the target date, you choose to roll over or get a full refund.

Do you design my ad, and can I approve it?

Yes. Design is included for your first run. Send your logo, offer and contact info, and we'll send you a proof. Nothing prints until you approve it. Small text edits are free, and a full redesign on a later run is $49.

How big is a spot? Is there an example?

A standard spot is about 3" × 4" on the back of a large 9" × 12" card. A double-size spot combines two of those, and premium front spots are larger and sit on the front. See the sample card on our homepage, and we'll send a mockup with your logo before you commit.

How do I know it worked?

Every ad can include a trackable QR code, and you can add an offer code (like "mention Mailbox Finds") or a call-tracking number ($25 / edition). About three weeks after the drop, we send you a results report with what we tracked. Results vary, so every paid run comes with our make-good.

Do you guarantee anything?

Delivery: Every card is handed to USPS for delivery to every address on your selected routes. We send you the post office's mailing receipt as proof. If we can't show it, you get a full refund.

Make-good: If your ad gets fewer than 10 tracked responses (QR scans plus redeemed codes) in 60 days after the mail date, you get a free run in a future edition, from available space.

Make-good runs use unsold space only, in the same neighborhood or an equivalent one, at the same ad size. One make-good per paid run. Not redeemable for cash. Applies to standard, premium and double spots.

How do I know it was mailed?

After each drop, we email you the USPS postage statement for the mailing, which lists the carrier routes and piece count, along with the mail date and your QR tracking link.

Why are there no dates on the card?

People keep the card on the fridge for months, so we keep the card itself evergreen. Each advertiser's offer carries its own expiration.

Can I lock my category for multiple editions?

Yes. The 3- and 6-run packages include a category lock across every edition you're in. For a single run, the category lock is $100.

How do I pay? Are there contracts?

A $99 deposit holds your category. It's credited toward your spot price and fully refunded if the edition doesn't print. The balance is paid online before the art deadline. A single run has no ongoing commitment. Packages are a commitment to 3 or 6 editions, paid upfront or before each edition, and you'll get a short written agreement covering your spot, dates and terms before you pay.

Ready to claim your category?

One business per category, 16 spots per card. When yours is gone, it's gone for that edition.
